August September Tipping results

September 2008 has finished with a late run for me and a small loss, I have added past results from 2007 to this blogg and slowly getting it set up today. I have a lot of fun with the tipping at OLBG and unfortunately because of the records only listing the exact bets for 45 days, cannot fill in some of the older tips I made. No Matter, the simple fact is I went from $6000 + in losses to $7000 profit in 12 months with my tipping. A turn around of $13000 overall. Wish it was real money hahha. There is no way I would outlay the monthly stake from my bank account. That is the benefit of OLBG You cannot lose real money. You can win real money though in the monthly tipping competitions which adds a bit of fun to getting your tips right.

The monthly 1000 pound (UK) stake money is like monopoly cash. It is not real. Plus even if you lose the first 1000 every day another 100 is added to your account each day for the month. So you can always play with the tipping.

I watched this game last night on Fox Sports with great interest. Besides being a United fan I really wanted to see how they came up after the mid week game against Kosima Antlers in the Asian Champions match. United looked very sluggish and off-key. A commentator made a remark as to how much of the on field performance by the Reds was in the mind as opposed to being physically tired. Playing 15 games in 25 days is a new experience for Australian teams. It is acknowledged that now Australia is in the Asian Confederation the benefits for football include more than a direct route to the World Cup for the national team if they win the playoffs. Australian cliubs now are having to lift their efforts and manage teams in styles akin to European football clubs who play a greater number of games. This season the A-League has started a second tier competition for each club to develop their junior squads. In simple terms this is to enable the clubs to have player depth. The goal of FFA is to establish a quality national competition and this is begining to happen, particlarly with the international club competition in the Asian conference of football. The only obstacle (if it can be called that) is the $1.9 million player salary cap.. This will keep clubs out of teh overspending and going broke trap. On the other hand the premium quality players are tempted to sign up with international clubs to advance their careers. I am travelling this morning. Due to lack of time, have pasted a sample of the match reprot from The FOX Sport site instead of writing my own.

Reds defeat undermanned Jets (FROM FOX SPORTS WEB SITE) Full Match report at URL: http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,24413093-5000940,00.html "September 27, 2008 BRAZILIAN striker Cristiano notched a second half double as Adelaide United wore down 10-man Newcastle Jets to win 2-0 at Hindmarsh Stadium. The victory kept up Adelaide's perfect A-League home record this season and sent them back into third position to keep them on a high after qualifying for the Asian Champions League semi-finals three days ago. However, reigning A-League champions Newcastle fell foul of injuries and found themselves down to 10 men from the 55th minute when midfielder Jason Hoffmann had to leave the pitch. Coach Gary van Egmond could do little as key pair, brothers Adam and Joel Griffiths, succumbed to leg injuries before half-time and Dane Jesper Hakansson was forced off in the 51st minute. Cristiano ensured Adelaide cashed in late with strikes in the 72nd and 89th minutes in front of 8,111 fans, to take his season's goal tally to four after an earlier double against Wellington." Thankyou for your time and attention

It is a long story....

It was definately not intentional but I have been off this space for a couple of reasons. Firstly my workload increased to 7 days a week for a year. To be honest a lot of other things I do besides this bloggy were put aside. Finally after stopping the full time work and catching up on my other interests and works, GUESS WHO COULD NOT FIND HIS LOGIN DETAILS!! LMAO finally today I have dug up the missing letters and numbers and can get this space up to date.http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/?tx39279 is the way to find OLBG and since I last posted my tipping has gone very well. My overall profit since joining and playing the free tipster site has the Overall result of WINNING 7,048 (Pounds UK). I have not won any prizemoney but have not lost a cent of real money and had fun. Considering I was at one stage 6,000 POUNDS in losses overall and have turned that around with 13,000 POUNDS (UK) in winnings shows that this site works. I have passed 24 betting coursesthat the site provides for Tipsters playing the game and that has helped immensley in my improved result, TENNIS is still my worst sport for tipping in but still I tip in it from time to time. That is the one great factor of the OLBG Sports tipping site, YOU NEVER TIP WITH REAL MONEY!! These are my overall results for the past 12 months: Figures in brackets are losses Football Bloggers £862 25% 33% £1.3 Other Sports Bloggers (£185) (22%) 50% (£0.1) Horse Racing (£53) (10%) 33% (£1.4) 1X2 £5,342 8% 58% £5.9 Asian Handicap (£522) (6%) 44% (£1.6) Goals (£574) (12%) 33% (£3.1) International £557 6% 72% £8.0 Champions League £411 19% 67% (£1.2) UEFA Cup £1,481 57% 50% £2.2 Premiership £1,051 4% 63% (£0.6) UK Lower Leagues £165 5% 56% (£0.5) UK Cups (£298) (8%) 50% (£0.8) Scottish £378 38% 100% £1.5 South American £245 7% 71% £0.5 Scandinavian £741 38% 80% £1.2 Balkan (£150) (100%) 0% (£1.0) Italian £478 35% 100% £1.7 French (£200) (100%) 0% (£1.0) Irish (£614) (40%) 57% (£0.5) Tennis (£792) (11%) 54% £3.5 Cricket (£2) (0%) 83% £3.2 Rugby £1,951 10% 65% £4.0 Overall £7,048 6% 59% £10.4

Rugby League and Tennis a chance to win in August...

I could play it safe to finish the month of August off in the OLBG Tipping Competition. With just two days to go I am 79 Pounds in the RED (Loss) with 1000 Pounds of bets already made in advance for September. I could play it safe and sit on the total but on the OLBG tables which have prize money for the top tipsters I am in eleventh place. I don't think I can make up the difference and get a placing (The top Three win Prize Money) but I have had a couple of bets that I would not make usually and see if I can get a bit higher up the table. I have also had a couple of tennis bets as well to use up what stake money I had left purely for interests sake. It is the fun side of betting with play money and the competitions are fun to play as well. I am also a member of a tipster team ALL AUSTRALIAN and the combined total of the team is part of the Teams Competition as well.

Best Month betting so far...August

After 3 months including August I may be about to finally make a winning month of results from my tipping. Mind you nothing major at all with the profits, that is not really my point when i make tips. I am not as dedicated as some tipsters and don't take the big risk, high return tips like they do. Admittedly I still lose often enough on my conservative tipping , but I am learning as this monmth shows. Of course not doing many tips on tenis tyhis month has been a bit of an advantage as I have a woeful track record on this sport. I have taken outr a few bets that will carry over into September as well so with a bit of luck that 1000 pounds of tips will give me a bit of a boost in the coming month for tipping winners. As each month starts afresh with 1000 in the stake kitty with 100 Pounds added each day the goal for me is to end up with 4000 Pound balance at the end of each tipping month. As you can see below I have 2100 Pounds in bets already placed for coming days and the 3 September bets are listed at the top of the list. Two of the tips are on tennis so I reckon there is a good chance given my track record that I will drop that 1000 Pound on the 30th of August hahaah

August tips so far...

Updating my blog after being buried in work while still plugging away with my tipping on OLBG. This is my third month of playing the tipping competition and for the first time I am looking like making a profit. hahhaah I think it helps when I leave the tennis alone so I had better stick to that plan if I want to end up with a winner for a change. Of course I have had a couple of early tips in the US Open, small ones for that mater even though it is play money I still don't want to lose.

After my last few tennis bets I reckon I may as well start backing the underdog instead of the favorite I don't lose any more than I am already and if I win the possible results are double or triple my initial stajke.

Winning some and losing some....

Nothing huge as usual to show for my betting in the OLBG games, I am not a big punter and taking on the odds that can return big payouts. I just stumble along having punts on various sports. Even had a few wins on Tennis for the month so far and the Melbourne Storm got over the line to win against the Sharks last night.

QUEENLAND ROAR Marque Signing to DEBUT

Queensland Roar Supporters will get their first competitive glimpse at the second of coach Frank Farina's trifecta of signings this weekend, but may have to wait until the opening round of the new season to see the third in action. Brazilian recruit Marcinho will make his senior debut in Sunday's Hyundai A-League Pre-Season Cup semi-final against Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium after shaking off the effects of a groin injury. But marquee acquisition Craig Moore has not been named in the squad leaving for South Australia on Saturday and might even be forced to wait another three weeks to make his Hyundai A-League bow. The rules of the Pre-Season Cup competition mean that even if the Roar beats Adelaide this weekend in what is a dress rehearsal for the opening round of the regular season, they will be back on the road for their final match against either Perth or the Central Coast. And the indications are Queensland would be reluctant to fly Moore across the country to Western Australia for a one-off game against the Glory should results pan out that way. That delay could mean Moore, the former Socceroos and Glasgow Rangers captain, might not make his competitive debut until the August 25 clash against the Reds at Suncorp Stadium. Still at least Marcinho, the talented No.10 snapped up by Farina after a month-long trial, showed no lingering effects of being rested through the Roar's entire Pre-Season Cup campaign during a practice game at training on Friday morning. The dead-ball specialist last played in a trial game in Rockhampton in early July where he fired in a 20-yard free-kick during Queensland's comfortable 6-0 victory. But Farina holds Marcinho in such high esteem he last week dubbed him the one of the club's trifecta of key close season signings alongside ex-internationals Moore and Danny Tiatto. "He's got a good work ethic and technically he's very gifted," Farina said after Friday's training session. "We've got to wait and see against some quality opposition but I'm sure he'll go well." Tiatto looked in competitive mood during the Roar's final training session before flying to Adelaide while Moore, who has not yet trained fully with the squad, was put through a light running drill by strength and conditioning coach Craig Starcevich. While Tiatto and Moore have played at the highest level with the Socceroos, Marcinho arrived in Australia as a virtual unknown despite beginning his career with top Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo. Australian A - League 2007-8

Australian A - League 2007-8
The pre season cup semi finals begin this coming weekend 4-5th of August. Both of last seasons A league finalists Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United are still alive in the Pre Season cup. The Australian football league follows a different format to decide the season champin to the UK. The top teams at the end of the home and away season play off in a Finals series 'best of' format and the winner is crowned the season champion.
Australian A league clubs use a marqee players system to bring international playing experience and increase the respective teams development and depth. Adelaide United in 205-7 had Shegqing Qu former chinese international who had a remarkable first season and his injury in the second is belived to be a major reason for their loss in the Premiership decider. This season Paul Agostino former TSV Munich striker and ex Socceroo has been signed bty Adelaide.Central Coast Mariners have signed former Socceroo and Adelaide CITY champion. My First bet for August...Yes TENNIS AGAIN hahaha

£100
Tommy Haas (To Win Match)
@ 1.25 If you have been to my Talart page at OLBG and saw my results then you know that I am the worlds worst tipper of tennis match results. Well not really buit I am not good at it and every month I have another go at it again. hahahaha I reckon I have to get a winner one month. I am not a gambler at all, I don't even have a bet on the Melbourne Cup the one race that stops the nation on the first tuesday each November. Money is hard earnt and it is not to be risked in my opinion anyway, on chance. There are some informative blogs on the OLBG site which actually explain the the odds are in favour of the bookies making a profit. Which means that the majority of punters LOSE money.

This way on the site is a fun game and i am enjoyingthe challenge of beating the odds against winning without risking money. And if I am lucky and stick at it may win one of the prizes that are offered for success in a month. That is not my goal thouh I just want to keep playing and learning and one month actually be in the profit and not a loss.

A new month of Betting Tips on OLBG

TALART'S Online Betting Guide results home page link click the green and see how much I have won or lost.

Each month the OLBG tipping site competitions start again, your account results for the month are cleared and entered into your tipping results for the month and a fresh 1000 UK Pounds is added for you to start again. Also each day you recieve 100 pounds so you always have something to tip with during the monthly competitions. It is always a shock when I go to my account on the first of the month and see all my records have changed hahah. I get a bit involved in the fun of the competitions and the tipping on various sports.

This August I begin my third months of playing the tipping game and I am getting better at it learning more every month. My losses were higher in July but I took greater risks in Football(Soccer) during the Asian Cup than I intended. Oh yeah of course I still maintained my losing run on tennis as well. I am still learning how to bet on Football with the draws so possible as a result but this way it costs me nothing in real money terms and is fun. If you ever get the urge to have a go at this just click this link to OLBG http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/?tx39279 or any of the green TALART Online Betting Guide links to my results and that will take you to the site.

I would like to stress this is not gambling, you pay absolutely nothing and are not betting real money I am not providingtips either these are just tips and bets made for my own enjoyment on the site. Yes, and it gives me an excuse to get excited watching and following sports on tv.

Jorvan Vieira to coach SOCCEROOS?

Iraq coach contacted over Socceroos jobThe Australian Football Federation had not made any secret that they were still looking for an internationally successful coach to prepare the Socceroos for the coming World Cup series.Current Socceroos coach, Graham Arnold is expected to be stood down from the role following Australia's quarter-final exit at the Cup, but has been offered a three-year deal to stay with the FFA as a staff coach, where he will likely resume duties with the Olyroos.Asian Cup-winning coach Jorvan Vieira has confirmed he has been approached by Australian football officials over the Socceroos coaching job. The Brazilian spoke with representatives from both Australia and South Korea on the phone less than 24 hours after guiding Iraq to their fairytale 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the final of the Asian Cup in Jakarta on Sunday. He is reportedly set to arrive in Sydney next month for discussions with Football Federation Australia.
The foprmer coach of of South Korea Pim Verbeek is also available and with his experience as assistant coach with Gus Hiddink and Dick Advocaat in the last two world cups would be a fronntrunner for discussion with the AFF for the Socceroos job. Earlier news reports had Jorvan Viera as the likely replacement for him as the Korean team coach.
Australian Pre-Season Cup Semi FinalsAdelaide United runners up to last seasons national league champions ship advanced to the semi finals with a 4-1 win over Newcastle United. ASIAN CUP WRAP - Coming Australian FOOTBALL Season

THE ASIAN CUP WRAP UPMy tip on Iraq to win paid off and my Japan favoritism to make the final did not all in all I had a great time fllowing this competition. A lot of unknowns in the mix. Not just the teams but the addition of Drawn results as a viable bet gained me some valuable experience.
AUSTRALIA-where to nextInterestingly enough the satisfaction with the teams performance given the so called early exit has been widely seen as not so bad. Sure it is about winning but there is the reality of Australia's standing in the World of International Football and the lack of experience told in the results. A better planned preparation has been discussed by the players in the media. Along the lines that playing warm up games is more important than a training camp sceneario. Match fitness and team preparation in that area is high on the list for the future events. The MEDIA FLIM FLAMThis was my biggest irritant through the series. I want to be informed of the games and the players not the gossip. So there was a feeling of satisfaction when some current and recently retired Australian players covered this issue after the tournament in their colums and interviews. One past player went as far to hint in my eyes that the regular 'ANONOMOUS' leaks from "INSIDE" the team who always seem to be mouthing off about dissent etc among the players and management should just stop with their lies. I think this was a vieled warning that if it happens again these people are going to be named publicly. This should also include a direct correlation to the reporters who have been including the lies in their reports on the Australian team as well.
THE COMING AUSTRALIAN SEASONFootball is the only sport in Australia whose championship season is actually played duringthe same time as the European equivilant. at the minute it is the pre season competition to finish the various teams match practice as a prelude to the real games.

£300 Melbourne Storm -12.0 (Hcap With Tie) @ 1.8
On a roll with my tips on the Storm towin at the minute. Cannot se them stopping their winning yet against the Sydney Roosters. The winning streak ended sooner than I thought even though the Sydney Roosters had been playing well and on thre match winning run I did not believe they had the ability to win this game.

£300 Japan + @ 2.1 Japan will be too good for Korea, playing for pride as well as the rankings for the world cup in 2010. Scoring power and a defence that will be able to cut the Korean attacks down. Japan need to sit back and review the results of their Asian Cup with a critical eye on the team structure. The failure of teh Japanese team must be put in the hands of te team management. For some reason a team with the talent possesed and experience of the players did not adapt to the 2007 Asian Cup. Given that this team has been a Asian Power house with Saudi Arabia over the past decade that is now refuted. As with any team that is seen as a benchmark opponents work hard to match and defeat them on the field. The rise of the middle eastern sides created by the performance of the Suadi team and the strength and quality of the regional leagues. The improved Asian based national sides has shown that the regions football is going through a phase of renewal.

£500 Draw or Japan + (Double Chance) @ 1.31
Covering some of my Japan to win bet with the double chance in case of a draw in full time. This game went to a penalty shoot out which Korea won 6-5. Japan had the striking ability to win this match in full time yet the Koreans played them well and the game ended a draw. This was the third drawn match in a row for Kora that went to a penalty shootout. Losing one in the penalty shootout against Iraq before defeating Japan
£500 Over +2.25 (Goal Line) @ 2.06 This is going to be a high scoring game The Saudis have been on target in the past games and even against the tight Iraq defence will score. Iraq have scoring power as well all that is a concern for me is if this game is played in a downpour again. A great game of footbal even losing this bet did not detract from it. I had backed Iraq to win the cup at 6/1 for 150 previously so my end result is still a winning one.

Iraq v Saudi Arabia - tip for the Asian Cup Final

I have only added one bet so far and the chance of there being a score over 2.25 goals in this game is a good one with the Saudi's scoring well throughout the finals series and Iraq posessing good striking power in their team as well. The backing of Iraq at 6/1 earlier in the tournament is still alive and will be a good win if the Iraq team win. I will consider a winning bet after the Japan Korea game is played.

Austrian Open wins all round for my bets...

I have had a couple of good days tipping on the tennis, for a change. Nothing to set the world on fire with big wins, enough to chip away at the losses I have made on tennis. Thre new tips made tonight and as you can see risking even less than usual, Working on the idea of having won £295 that has taken a bit off my losses, I am going to bet with these winnings as a stake and see if I can increase them and keep on build ing them up.

AUSTRALIA OUT OF ASIAN CUP, not as bad as some may say...

AUSTRALIA OUT OF ASIAN CUP, not as bad as some may say...I will be sticking with my COPA AMERICA 2007 template for these type of football tournaments. Mind you having had a good weekend of successful tips does make me feel satisfied in general.
JAPAN defeated Australia 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw at fulltime and both teams still equal after extra time. Playing with only 10 men, Vince Grella’s 75th minute send off added pressure to Australia in the final stages of the match. The concern that is caused by the fact that both times the Socceroo's scored, Japan equalised within 2 minutes is a problem that has existed in the Australian team matches for several years. All that this tournament result shows to me is that Australia is playing teams at their own level of ability and how far off the standard they are to progress on the World stage of football. Graeme Arnold is still the coach and Soccer Australia are still looking for an international coach to manage the national team. This is no surprise and has nothing to do with the performance of Australia or Arnold at the Asian Cup. Again I will make the same point stated previously, 'the media go on with a lot of rubbish' when covering football. Trying to create soap opera drama's out of the sporting team is an irritation and the players really pay no attention to it so the supporters should ignore it as well. Most do, the part-time fans are the only ones who get suckered into believeing this rubbish and responding to it. Japan will struuggle to win the Asian Cup on this performance which shows that they have a problem against quality opponents and in particular European football playing style.
IRAQ Too good for Vietnam 2-0 put out the team that has played well with the home ground advanrage and beyond expectations. Coming up against the Iraq team that have a strength of character that no other team in the Asian Cup can be compared with. The players in this Iraq team are based in Jordan and cannot return home because of the risk of assaination/murder by some of the insurgents in the country. A definite chance of winning the Asian Cup.
Sth KOREA Winning the game 2-4 in a penalty shootout against Iran after a 0-0 draw at full time. Unimpresive victory and to be honest a lucky win that at this level shows that Korea have played at their best to get this far and cannot improve. Luck will not win them the Cup. If you have backed this team to win the tournament start laying off your bet on the other teams, Korea are not going to win it.
SAUDI ARABIA Again with luck, a linesman making an incorrect offside call against Uzbekistan had a goal disallowed. The 2-1 result flattered the Saudi's, Uzbekistan were a more attacking side some close misses with the ball hitting the goal posts lost the game for them. Saudi Arabian players absolutely fell over themselves twice and missed easy chances to seal this game. Instead all this showed me was the Saud have a fragile attitude in the pressure of the moment of scoring. I will say it here this team are chokers.
The coming games will be won by Iraq against Korea and Japan will beat Saudi Arabia.

No complaints for from me this morning when I went to my OLBG tipping account and saw the weekend results PAYOUT for my tips. I can tell you that I had no idea of what the results were and expected there would be losses for me so I am a little surprised. If it was real money I would not not have slept real well not knowing what the results were. Converting the amount I have won (from UK pound to Australian Dollars) is approximately $2500+. The Iran V Sth Korea tip was a double chance Iran or Draw giving me 2 out of 3 possible results covered in my tip. The Iraq V Vietnam and Japan V Australia tips were for the draw alone. I am not used to backing a drawn result as a possible outcome having never tipped/bet on sports before and football/soccer is a new sport I have began to follow closely again after 9 or so years of not paying much more than glancing attention to it. I have got a big smile on my face though winning is a good thing.

Even the Rugby League tip had me worried, I did win on the Storm's last match 44-0 defeat of the Newcastle Knights. Oddly enough I don't focus so much on the wins but remember the losses and the one I had in Rugby league was backing the Storm to win, with a 6 point handicap against the Rabitohs.. The Storm won by 5 points, I lost my tip and it was only a £50 bet. I have well and truly made up that small loss, yet it was with some trepidation to back the Storm again with a 14 point handicap. That is the fun of the OLBG site I am not playing with my real money so it is always fun. Given that I can win real money out of the tipping competitions, that is not what i am trying to do and more interested in doing okay and winning a little each week and building up my stake money. This morning I have a little over £3000 in my account from the initial £1000 stake that you get when joining the site. I joined the site on the 27th of June 07 so it is kinda surprising to have just gone and looked that up and realise that I have not even been a member for a month yet and tripled my money.

Even with a few wins in the Tennis lately I am still a big loser, (in my way of looking at it with the amounts I bet). Not going to give up on it though to finally get my Tennis Tally to equal withthe wins and losses balancing out is the challenge within the tipping for myself to achieve.

ASIAN CUP 2007 - Quarter Final tips of the results...

11:20 Japan v Australia
£300
Draw
@ 3.2

Too close to call a winner during full time. Extra time and a penalty shootout will decide this match. The two favorites for winning the Asian Cup are playing earlier than expected in the quarter finals. That is they way of tournaments and it will be a great game to watch. I cannot split these two teams and can see a drawn match after fulltime as a highly probable result.
14:20 Iraq v Vietnam
£400
Iraq
@ 1.5

Vietnam have impressed so far in the tournament group stages, the final match against Japan showed the calibre of difference between competative teams in group matches and the possible winning teams. 4-1 Loss to Japan has brought Vietnam back to the reality of their ability and Iraq will not be phased by the fan suppport on the way to winning this match.
22 July 2007
11:20 Iran v South Korea
£200
Iran or Draw (Double Chance)

Slightly favouring Iran in this match, but a draw is a distinct possibility after full time. My tip in this game may be compromised with a personal favoritism for the Iran team. South Korea have the fast attacking fluidity in their game play and when it comes up against the stoic and uncompromising Iranians are going to have to play at their best to win. Iran have more hieght and a physical superiority and this stamina may be the difference in who wins.

Preview - Australia V Japan Asian Cup

AUSTRALIA V JAPAN Both side are well aware that the result of this game has a level of impact besides just the ASIAN CUP challenge. Reaching the Semi-finals will earn seeding points for the 2010 World Cup qualification campaign. The loser of the Japan Australia match is not only knocked out of the Asian Cup but can expect a harder road to the World Cup. The only change to the Australian squad for the upcoming match is the return of Lucas Neill. The Westham Captain will replace the suspended Luke Wilkshire. The Japanese are reigning Asian Cup champion and this is not lost upon the Australians. The Group games performance was not mediocre because of overconfidence, the conditions and the quality of opposition did have some bearing upon the results. Now that Australia has reached a playing tempo that is comparable to what is expected of a team with the player quality of the Socceroos, supporters can watch them play with some confidence that they will be doing their best. The Thailand 4-0 win included something that was in the World Cup victory over Japan in 2006. A flurry of late goals. As that game wound down to a close and 1-1 draw with Japan the Socceroos cracked the ball into the net twice for a 3-1 win. The Thailand game was on line for a 1-0 win and three late goals by Australia resluted in a 4-0 win. Is that a flattering win, given the way Australia had played up to that stage in the Group games or a sign they are peaking at the right time. Don't be mistaken though, Japan's 4-1 victory in the last game against Vietnam showed the same quality team performance needed to win against Australia.

My punt against the favorite in the Andreev V Volandri match was a loss £150 overall from the three bets. Having another one this morning James Blake (9th ranked Player) V Paul Goldstein 500 @ 1.12 and should pick up a win. H2H it is 1-1 with Blake losing on grass in 2000 and winning on Clay in a qualifying match in 2005.

Juan Monaco vs Stefan KoubekJuan Monaco + (To Win Match) Last time I bet against Koubek he won, defeating Mikhail Youzhny. This was at Gstaad, Switzerland on Clay. Monaco is the favorite and on Clay is a tried and tested, better performer. Having a consistent year with winning results compared to Koubek.

ASIAN CUP GROUP D and C Qualifying teams...

GROUP D - Saudi Arabia 4-0 defeated Bahrain in the final match for a top placed finish in the group. Very little to say about this result exceopt the Saudi team has the quality to win the Asian Cup having come through the so called Group of Death as the top team with two wins and a draw.KOREA second finisher with a final game 1-0 win over Indonesia. I watched this game and in fact have watched the replay as well since the game finished. The quality of Kora is without doubt there on the pitch, I do not think they have the nescessary 'depth' to win the Asian Cup. INDONESIA were outclassed in player quality by Korea in the final game and the absolutely fervent home crowd definately lifted their performance on the pitch. Yet Korea, could not strike and finish the Indonesian team off. The goalkeeper was man of the match for Indonesia in my opinion. Beat them yes, finish them off no. With the 1-0 lead gained Korea went defensive and smothered the Indonesian attacks and still kept up promising goal scoring forays. Given the superb Indonesian Goalkeepers performance, (it was a deflection off an Indonesian Player that gave Korea the lead.) The Korean attacks and there were quite a few show a lack of striking power.

GROUP C The central Asian Side, UZBEKISTAN needed to win for progress to the last eight and they did so thanks to goals in the final 18 minutes by Maksim Shatskikh, Timur Kapadze and Alexander Geynrikh. China needed a draw or a win to advance to the next stage, China were missing a number of key players including injured goalkeeper Li Leilei and suspended duo Zheng Zhi and Li Weifeng. This is not and was not my reasoning for suspecting an upset in this match. It was simply that I had a belief that China would lose from a tactical/strategic error. They where happy to get a draw as a result and with that in mind (having not seen the match) did not press home an attacking game plan. This is not how champion teams qualify and win tournaments, scoring goals wins matches and tournaments and China did not do that and the Uzbekistan team HAD to score goals. They did with THREE in the last 18 minutes of the game. Since the COPA AMERICA and the performance of Brazil and Argentina from the group stage to the final, I have got a firm vision of what I am looking for in team performances and their credentials to WIN when it matters. Of course I am not comparing any of the sides in the Asian Cup with the two Sth American powerhouse teams only using them as a template to be followed for myself.
IRAN finished the group stage top of their group with a 2-0 defeat of Malaysia. It was nothng spectacular as a match compared to to 5-0 and 5-1 wins by Uzbekistan and China against the Malays. Moreso a clinical and controlled defeat by a better side that played withing itself and was joined with Uzbekistan as the Group C qualifiers.

Uzbekistan wipe China at the ASIAN CUP...

A small bet on this match and a 3-0 result for Uzbekistan. Certainly did not expect them to defeat China so convincingly in this game. (Have not yet seen the replay of the game, and am looking forward to this and seeing how the win was created.) The central Asian Side needed to win to progress to the last eight and they did so thanks to goals in the final 18 minutes by Maksim Shatskikh, Timur Kapadze and Alexander Geynrikh. China needed a draw or a win to advance to the next stage, China were missing a number of key players including injured goalkeeper Li Leilei and suspended duo Zheng Zhi and Li Weifeng. Australian Players have spoken out, on and off the pitch...

Following the win over Thailand and advancing to the next stage of the ASIAN CUP Members of the Socceroos have given the media some interesting interviews.
I am sure that what I am saying is something that European, UK and Sth American football followers are all aware of but for Australians Football/Soccer has only recently finally reached the level of public interest that you take for granted on the sport. The Media report an incredible amount of spurious nonsence on teams, players, coaches and so forth when games of interest are happening. I can only presume that the mythical stories are invented to attract the interest of the people who have no interest in the games so need the BIG BROTHER/SOAP OPERA TV type of drama on the sport to attract their attention.
The experience of Australian footballers playing in the UK, European Football teams has been of great benefit in the increased ability of the players. What is also gained is the players with this experience knowing how to treat the media myths touted on dissention and feuds in the national team. In the aftermath of the win against Thailand team captain Mark Viduka spoke about nothing but playing the game and Harry Kewel delivered the subtle reposte to the media regarding the myths that had been reported as news on the Australian Team.
JAPAN this is the only match that matters now who is going to win it I have no idea at the minute. Not even thinking about it at this stage, no doubt i want the Socceroos to win but I will wait until it is time to be played before considering this game. For now the final group games of the ASIAN CUP are interesting enough to see who makes it through from group C and D.
LIVERPOOL - ROBBIE FOWLER After his flying three day visit to Australia for talks with the Sydney FC about playing for them in the national league season it is reported that Robbie is not accepting the offer made. Again the media have managed to itrritate me with a subtle snide inference to the amount Robbie wanted to play for Sydney FC. Reportedly $50,0000 plus bonuses apparently this was twice what Sydney FC were willing to offer him. I have my doubts about this as I am sure that the club would not be that far off the mark in their offer to entice him to play for them. Then again I could be wrong and will wait until I hear or read confirmation of the deal details from an official club representative.

Not trying to win big in tennis at all, still treading carefully after getting some big losses during the Wimbeldon Tournament in 2007. Then followed up those losses with a few more during the Swiss Open. The rain delays through me so I lost interest in tipping tennis winners. Inthe build up to the US Open I have started to follow the player in action and have a few small ips to add some interest in watching the games. So far my results are a small loss of £7. I have made a tip on the following game which with Gonzalez ranked at No. 6 and Fleishman Ranked at 162 in the ATP listings should give me a win. Serra after his defeat of Davydenko is playing De bakker next ranked at 260+ I am taking a bigger punt on Serra to win this game.
