EPL, A-League and UEFA Football 5 wins out of 6 tips

Winning tips are always best when you have made them. It comes and goes when a run of success happens, although over the past two years I have won more than lost as can be seen in my OLBG Tipping record http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/?tx39279 ABSOLUTELY no cost whatsoever is associated with registering at OLBG. There you can check my profile and my tipping results for the past two years. The only sport which I struggle with is tennis in fact. Because I am not tipping real money on OLBG I still select the odd tennis match and invariably manage to lose.

I even enjoy this with OLBG as then it is about accepting the challenge to win back the loss and get the monthly score back on to a profit tally. You are never out of the game either besides the 1000 UK pound starting stake at the beginning of each month you receive 100 Pounds added to your bank every day. As I have learnt now it is not needed to tip every day and pick to suit your plan for the month. at the end of each month your bank is returned to the 1000 again and the comp starts again.

For October I have a 1350 Pound profit which I am happy with, and the 5600 Balance which I can use in the next few days if I see some good markets to get some returns on. This weekend I had 5 wins out of 6 tips and very satisfied with my selections.

Champions League tips tonight...

managed to get through the last stint of tips with a good profit. Thanks to a good start with Adelaide United defeating Queensland Roar I had some funds to play with. The rest of my Australian A-League tips fell down with a thud. Perth Glory accounted for Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix defeated Central Coast Mariners. I did have my doubts aboutr Sydney in the match against Perth, but even though Wellington have been playing well of late really thought they would be not up to beating the Mariners and that was a big loss of 150 UK Pounds for me in the OLBG tipping comp. Fortunately I had a win tipping Hull against WestHam that covered the losses. Hull have came out of the blocks this EPL season so far and are a good tip at this stage with good odds still on offer through most bookies.

I am tipping in two Champions leaque matches this week. Unfortunately I cannot tip in the Asian Champions League match as it is not in the OLBG lists., Adelaide United at 4.45/1 is a good tip against Kuruvchi tonight in the return leg after beating the home team 3-0 last week.

Still tipping for the weekend. Melbourne Victory lost to Newcastle Jets is a great game of football last night putting my down 150. Fortunately the next two bets I had overnight in the English Premier Lege were winners, Chelsea and Arsenal getting the results for me and this put my overall loss from the Victory game to 13 UK Pounds. still with the 470 win on Friday night I am well in front.

Today I am tipping on two more Australian A-League matches Central Coast Mariners 150 2 1.67 to win against the Wellington Phoenix and 50 @ 2 for Sydney FC to defeat Perth Glory.

5 wins from 7 WORLD CUP tips

Took a guess on some of the 7 tips in the World Cup games this week and still ended up with 5 winners. Most importantly even with the two losing tips I made a profit of 240 UK pounds. Portugal V Albania was an outsider tip and not much of a risk to me as there was only a 50 pound stake on the wager. Japan's draw with Uzbekistan 1-1 cost me 150 and surprised me as well. Uzbekistan have done this several times to me in fact. delivering unexpected results in winning and in this case drawn results when I believed the result would be a win against them. Yet Japan failing to win this game is truly one for the memory of "No game is guaranteed until the final whistle".
I have always been a little reticitant in backing the Blue Samurai in the past, technically and talent wise Japan has a strong team it has been the goal scoring ability that has been the only fault overall they have. Up until this match I was begining to believe this was no longer such a problem, I was wrong.
15/10/08 Portugal v Albania
£50 Win Portugal 1.12 (£50)

15/10/08 Italy v Montenegro
£100 Win Italy 1.22 £22

15/10/08 Belarus v England
£350 Win England 1.38 £132

15/10/08 Norway v Holland
£100 Win Holland 1.93 £93

15/10/08 Russia v Finland
£300 Win Russia 1.37 £111

15/10/08 Japan v Uzbekistan
£150 Win Japan 1.3 (£150)

World cup qualifiers My 7 tips for the week...

I must say that international football matches are among my favorites to tip on. It has nothing to do with personal favorites, moreso the fact that the teams are the best quality a nation can provide. My success rate with these games is not much better than my other tipping but still more winners than losers. The choice of 7 games in my tips is partly to do with myenjooyment in internatonal football and the decision to spread my tips accross the board instead of just tipping a couple of winners for big amounts. The total wagers outlayed is 1300 UK Pounds on the seven games. The World Cup is in 210 and this is part of my preparing for those future tips and researching for then.

15/10/08 Portugal v Albania
£50 Win Portugal 1.12 Open

15/10/08 Italy v Montenegro
£100 Win Italy 1.22 Open

15/10/08 Belarus v England
£350 Win England 1.38 Open

15/10/08 Norway v Holland
£100 Win Holland 1.93 Open

15/10/08 Russia v Finland

15/10/08 Japan v Uzbekistan

Winning tips on World Cup Qualifiers 3 from 3

With the World Cup qualifying matches being played this weekend many national leagues were having a holiday so the players were fresh and clubs were not disadvantaged with player availability. I tipped three winners out of the three games i chose over the weekend. No major wins for my tally, it was more a case of playing for getting some what were percieved to be winners and improving my success rate and adding some small amounts to my overall score for OCTOBER. EVEN SO FOR AN OUTLAY OF 450 the return was 99 and that is good enough for this early stage of the monthly competition.

11/10/08 Belgium v Armenia
£250 Win Belgium 1.25 £62

11/10/08 Holland v Iceland
£100 Win Holland 1.17 £17

11/10/08 Estonia v Spain
£100 Win Spain 1.2 £20

At the minute I am ranked 13th in the Football Bloggers table and 26th in the Portugese tipping table. Still a ways to go in the competitions for OCTOBER but if I can keep the average up in winning tips come the last week I will have a crack at winning some prize money. Happy and successful tipping to all.

I am gobsmacked Adelaide United 3 def Kuruvchi 0

BUDGET Brazilian genius edged Adelaide United a step closer to Asia's holy grail in front of a packed Hindmarsh Stadium. Adelaide's Diego, Cristiano and Cassio tore Uzbekistan side Kuruvchi to shreds in an emphatic 3-0 first-leg semi-final win in the AFC Champions League.

Here is a tale of two teams and a result I did not consider possible at all. A drawn game was my tip at best and biased in favour of the Reds. Even though not possible to tip on OLBG, as a fan of United I was interested in the game and watched it all on Fox Sports. 0-0 at Half time with $ shots on goal to Kuruvci to none by Adelaide.

The game ended with a 3 - 0 scoreline in favour of Adelaide. Here is a team and club whose total annual budget is less than the $9 million a season paid to Rivaldo. I do not believe in the fairytale underdog does good scenario except in Hollywood movies. United had done amazingly well getting this far in the ACL and with a 3-3 draw inthe last game against Central Coast Mariners after leading 3-0 at half time. Proves that in sport anything is possible on the day.

I wanted to finish my weekend tips off with a winner. Don't we all like a winner to be honest. After the shock start with the Adelaide United losing tip, I had managed to get my winning tally back in reach with some tips. A TIPTER I follow on OLBG - IPOH SHARK has been focussing on Asian Handicap tipping for some time now. My first tip was for a win by the favorite in this Portugese match. I often have a tip in this nations games simply because of some of the players that have come from there and watching their national team play. This game had a potential for a draw and with only a small stake on Benfica I chose an A/Hcap bet and not a Double chance tip which paid off well.

06/10/08 Leixoes v Benfica
£500 Win Leixoes +0.75 (Asian Handicap) 1.88 £440

06/10/08 Leixoes v Benfica
£150 Win Benfica 1.75 (£150)

A-League tipping was a shocker for me on the weekend admittedly I did not place any more big wagers on the games. Newcastle should have won the game against Wellington. I noticed this trait in some A-league sides last season as well, when getting in front or scoring opponents would score quick replies. Don't know why this is a lapse prevelant in a few ofthe A-League sides but it definately is consistent in happening.
06/10/08 Newcastle Jets v Wellington Phoenix
£150 Win Newcastle Jets 1.95 (£150)

Subtotal £140

Took the punt on this games tip simple with Newcastle in some off-field dissaray felt that Everton was a good tip at 1.83. Obviously I was wrong. Will keep an eye on Newcastle in future games there is going to be the opportuniy to pick up some good value odds in games involving them.
05/10/08 Everton v Newcastle
£250 Win Everton 1.83 (£250)

Another win backing Chelsea who are well placed to continue their past seasons dominance in the Barclay's Premier League.
05/10/08 Chelsea v Aston Villa
£500 Win Chelsea 1.55 £275

Subtotal £25

Picked up most of the Loss from my first tip with the Asian Handicap tip on Melbourne Victory who won 4 - 0 against Perth Glory. Last season Premiers are playing at their peak and again are benefiting from the ACL experience even though they hav been eluiminated from the finals playoffs.
04/10/08 Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory
£495 Win Melbourne Victory -1.25 (Asian Handicap) 2.07 £532

04/10/08 Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory
£250 Win Melbourne Victory 1.53 £132

Subtotal £664

First tip of the weekend, confident that United at home would win this match with a full strength team and the ACL games assisting in the preparation for the match. With the score at 3 - 0 in United's favour at half time I was certain that I had tipped a winner to styart the weekends tipping off. Central Coast are a quality team and even this score line was beyond them in my opinion.. WSo the final Drawn result of 3-3 was unexpected to say the least. I will be seriously considering tipping against United in teh next ACL match the lapse of a 25 minutes in the A-League had an opponent score 3 goals . In the ACL I cannot see United getting a 3 goal lead to start so it will be a good value tip against them in the coming ACL home game at Hindmarsh stadium V Bunyodkor/Kuruvchki coached by Ziko.
03/10/08 Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners
£500 Win Adelaide United 2.2 (£500)

Subtotal (£500)

I will be checking out these three coming games as tipping posibilities in October. Two Asian Champions League matches and the World Cup Qualifier for Australia against Qatar.

FFA not changing fixtures to aid Adelaide United ACL bid

TALART'S Online Betting Guide results home page, click the link register and see how much I have won or lost. Registration is free and no spam comes from this site.

Is it hypocritical to be passionate about football and your team and at the same time rational? At the minute Adelaide United are still in the ACL competition after eliminating the Kashima Antlers. Now they are scheduled to play 5 games in 15 days again, a combination of A-League and ACL matches. United approached FFA to request if some concessions could be made with the A-League games so the players would not be overly played out and able to perform as well as possible. FFA are not allowing any concession, with the argument that Adelaide (And Other A-League clubs) should get used to playing in the Champions League the same as European Clubs play both domestic fixtures and UEFA Champions League.

I believe that is the right choice, at the detriment to United who are trying to win two competitions. Even so the fact remains that A-League clubs do not have the player lists to be able to put two competative sides on the field, only this season has the junior comp league began which is part of the process indeveloping depth for Australian clubs. I appreciate the glorious "Underdog comes Good" and winning against the odds scenario but to be honest that is very rare in reality and more a fact in movies.

Australian Football has a long way to go and have only just been transfered from the Oceania to Asian Confederation for World Cup qualifying and the associated benefits for the national team in playing in the Asian Cup and for clubs in the ACL. What is happening with Adelaide United is simply inthe 'grey area' of the development of FFA's overall plan for the futuure of football.

Short term pain and argument that in ten years will be water under the bridge. Yes I want United to win both competitions but reality says the odds are against them. Yet watching both United and Melbourne Victory this season I have seen the benefit of players playing outside of the usual competion against international clubs has brought to the game in Australia.

The responces to this forum thread;
A-League players going to the J-League?
http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=794086

I found to be heartening as well with my opinions. Other football fans seem to accept that the game in Australia still needs to realise that it is a small fish and the interaction between the A-League and Asia/europe and where ever else footballers can get a game does return benefits back to Australia. Not only in transfer fees but the development and quality of players that are available for the Socceroos AND returning to play in the A-League.

Three tips for J-League success...

Since Australia was accepted into the Asian Confederation for World Cup Qualifying I have taken a greater interest in the Japanese J-League. This competition has became very exciting viewing as well with the Japanese clubs signing many Brazillian players, with a good supply of local players who are high quality in the mid-field and defence, forwards are a prime target for J-League clubs. The Adelaide United club's success in the quarter finals has had confirmed interest in three of the clubs players. Captain Travis Dodd was already on the J-League clubs radar and since the win against Kashima Antlers two other players have attracted interest. Goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic and ex-Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Jamieson are being sounded out by cashed up J-League teams.

To start October off in my tipping I decided to spread my tipping in 3 J-league games. First choice was the Kashima Antlers, beaten by United at Hindmarsh stadium this team was by no means disgraced and I was impressed with the performance in building attacks and their strikers. This tip was a winner for me. Urawa Red Diamonds have been a powerhouse club in the J-League for the past two seasons and are currently in the quarter finals of the ACL and with odds of 1.55 against Kyoto were a good tip to take, but did not deliver. Gamba Osaka have also been dominant in the ACL quarter finals scoring 2 away goals in the first leg against Al Karama after also defeating Melbourne Victory 4-3 in an away leg of the ACL, returning a winning tip result for me.

So I outlayed 750 in my first 3 October tips for two wins and a loss for a profit of 45. TALART'S Online Betting Guide results home page, click the link register and see how much I have won or lost. Registration is free and no spam comes from this site.
